An Early Usage of the Expression “Golden Section” (2019)

Until recently the earliest known example of the use of the expression “golden section” dates from 1835. Dr. Otfried Lieberknecht has discovered that this expression was already used by Johann Samuel Traugott Gehler in 1789. Here we report on his findings.
