In the present paper we discuss briefly an interesting astronomical event called "Parallel phenomenon" or "Parallel aspect" in astronomical sciences. Besides explaining this phenomenon, we provide interesting historical Indian references recorded in classical astronomical texts and also in some old inscriptions.
