Transitioning Societies: Non-Communicable Disease and ‘the First 1000 Days’ in South Africa (2021)
In March 2013, the South African Department of Health released its Roadmap to Nutrition in South Africa 2013–2017 . Central to its strategy to improve nutrition was a focus on a window of opportunity: the first 1000 days.
