Grâce aux archives de Saint-Gobain et des banques, mais aussi à des entretiens avec des acteurs clés, l'ouvrage livre des faits et leur évolution, ainsi que l'analyse des talents de chaque partie prenante. Il soupèse les rapports de force entre une firme et ses banquiers, qui oscillent au gré des plus ou moins forts besoins d'argent. La banque relationnelle est au coeur des réflexions, autour de la notion de "banquier-maison"." Saint-Gobain celebrates its 350th anniversary in 2015: this impressive success is due to the entrepreneurial spirit of its direction, a great capacity for innovation, its motivations, but also the elasticity of its strategy.
