Wagner, Pierre (Author)
Conceptual change has become a fashionable topic today. The usual and most common discussions about conceptual change are based on the opposition between conceptual and theoretical change. In this paper, the author suggests an approach which is different from the usual one in so far as it considers the issue of conceptual change in its relation to the notion of disagreement. A few suggestions are made so that this question could be examined in the light of precisely studied examples taken from the history of mathematics or from the history of science.
