Microbiology has highlighted the existence of multiple bacterial lineages parts of humans that exist at different spatial and temporal scales. While modifying our common biological individuality design, taking account of these symbiotic phenomena can exceed a continued tension between two levels of analysis (individual/population) by showing that the focus of medicine, ’individual’, is itself a ’population’, which ultimately helps us to better understand the meaning and the value of one scalable approach in medical sciences.
