Through their discussions, they had to face such problematic concepts as "humidum radicale" or "mors naturalis." Apart from natural philosophy and medicine, some of them resort to astrology. But Jacques Despars is the only one to tackle the question of divine providence in this context, which Avicenna himself had raised.
