"Geography and theater" is analyzed here through the form of a methodological reflection. The analysis will focus on: 1. Dramatic texts that contain geographical knowledge used to create the atmosphere of the play. Dramatic texts may be used as geographical source texts only once the characteristics that specify dramatic genres are taken into account. 2. "Geography and theater" can be understood as the place where a theater is located. The geographic location of a theater influences the reception of a drama. 3. In the interplay of the geographical knowledge and the location where the theater is located, a "space" for the imagination is opened up. It is here that the drama plays out.
