unapi

This paper examines an article by Owen Gingerich, published in Galilaeana in 2009, in which it is claimed that the watercolor drawings of the Sidereus Nuncius are a forgery. Bredekamp, as this paper shows, had anticipated the objections raised by Gingerich and his convincing replies are outlined.
