Teaduse teed on sarnaselt maanteedega kurvilised, kuid saja aastaga jõuab inimvaim sellel siiski jõudsalt edasi liikuda. Eesti teaduses on see areng toimunud vaatamata ümbritsevatele ohtudele tippkiirusel. Vivat academia! Vivant professores! Vivat et res publica! [The paths of science are, like the roads, curved, but within a hundred years, the human spirit will be able to move on. In Estonian science, this development has taken place despite the surrounding threats at top speed. The pioneers of Estonian science who moved around the horses in the countryside had no eyes on genomics and information technology, or on solar cells. However, thanks to them, Estonian-language research terminology was born and the basis for today's research was created. In today's information technology era, the results of Estonian scientists have been recognized all over the world. We have outstanding applications, promising young people and socially active researchers. As a fragment of the international scientific landscape, our research today marks Estonia's problems, as the research leaders of their time set as their goal. Our book monitors scientific searches in Estonia for one hundred years. There have been important political as well as human clashes in this way, but above all, we are writing about success in research and describing excellence. The work of the past proves that in the future we can expect significant scientific results from Estonian researchers. Vivat academia! Vivant Professors! Vivat et res publica!] Translated by google translate.
