The Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Bibliothek of Hanover holds a miscellaneous volume, previously belonging to Oronce Finé, containing rare editions of mathemathical and astronomical works of the early 1500s. The volume is truly a 'miscellany of work' of the French mathematician and it is of extraordinary interest, since it can be established that it formed part of Leibniz’s private library. He had bought the book in 1715, a year before his death. This discovery provides further evidence of Leibniz’s continued and profound interest in authors such as Thomas Bradwardine, Charles de Bovelles, Jacques Lefèvre d’Étaples and Oronce Finé himself. This interest was already evident in his youth.
