Work - not as a textbook example: the Industrial Work Memorial Archive of the LWL Industrial Museum) (2019)

unapi

Using methods of oral history, the former industrial plants were documented in their function, thus laying the foundations for future museum use. The Industrial Work Memorial Archive was created, which currently has about 1600 units. The essay deals with the genesis of the Memory Archive in the context of the industrial culture discussion. Using selected examples, it shows the diversity, opportunities and limits of oral history in the scientific examination of technically influenced working environments.]
