"Imparate a leggermi bene", aveva ammonito Nietzsche. [Abstract translated by Google Translate: This is the abstract in English… "Learn to read me well," Nietzsche admonished. And learning to read it well, to discover the hidden meaning of its astral metaphors, the hidden meaning behind its poetic celestial images, is precisely the purpose of this book. The historical-astronomical analysis of the nineteenth-century scientific-cultural context, the faithful reconstruction of Nietzsche's readings and the hermeneutic investigation of his abundant celestial metaphor accompany the reader in the discovery of the constitution of his philosophy, to that area of thought which, proceeding from experimental results of the science of the time, reaches, with completely innovative results, a field different from that of origin: philosophical reflection. The affinity between Nietzsche and the nineteenth-century astronomical context is captured here in a multiplicity of aspects. The anthropocentric and a-finalistic vision, the image of light as a metaphor for a new truth and the proclamation of the non-existence of an absolute point of view are explored in their analogies with the truths of modern scientific thought, from Copernican heliocentrism to propagation of light at finite speed, to finally reach the movement of the entire solar system. From this investigation Nietzschean reflection emerges enriched: on the historical level it acquires greater depth, on the philosophical one a new, growing complexity.]
