Il problema della giustizia minorile in Cesare Colucci tra psicologia e pedagogia correzionale (2019)

unapi

In the history of Italian psychology, Cesare Colucci is well known as one of Italy’s first psychology professor, who held one of three chairs of Experimental Psychology that were established in 1905 by Italian Universities. At the same time, as practicing psychiatrist, he directed the Provincial Psychiatric Hospital in Naples. Colucci advocated a model of psychology founded on biology and physiology; he dealt primarily with the theme of psychotechnics, and in particular with psychology applied to pedagogy. At the 5th International Congress of Psychology, held in Rome in 1905, he gave a lecture addressing the problem of juvenile crime and proposed alternative measures to detention that were intended to rehabilitate young offenders and prevent crime.
