Le Thé Chambard: Une aventure familiale de près de 80 ans (2020)

unapi

The «Thé Chambard » . A family adventure of almost 80 years – The «Thé Chambard » (Chambard’s tea) was created by the pharmacist Jules Chambard but mainly developed and commercialized by the Sicre family. The family’s archives shows the evolution of this epic between 1962 and the second World War. One can see all the subjects of interest for the French pharmacy and growing pharmaceutical industry of that time : the importance of trademark to protect inventor, the major role of advertising in popular journals, and the position of those “secret remedies” fought by so many pharmacists attached to the strict respect of Germinal law. After a great success of the Thé Chambard at the end of the 19th century, sales were decreasing afterward and almost terminate with the end of the second World War.
