González Rojo, Víctor (Author)
En el libro El continuo Hermann Weyl analiza la noción de continuo en matemáticas y señala que el análisis clásico cae en un círculo vicioso cuando acepta el principio del supremo en su forma conjuntista. Su posición inaugura una importante y prolífica corriente en lógica-matemática, originariamente basada en el problema de los fundamentos de las matemáticas: el predicativismo dado los números naturales. No obstante, en artículos posteriores tratará este asunto considerando otras ideas. Esto permitirá la aparición de críticas interesantes, como la de Hölder, que son asimismo analizadas aquí. Además, pretendo defender que el principio del supremo clásico se puede mantener bajo ciertas condiciones, lo que puede ser entendido como otra alternativa pseudo-constructivista distinta a la de Weyl.
