In questi saggi, Galileo è osservato attraverso i suoi rapporti personali soprattutto con personaggi dell’ambiente intellettuale padovano, nelle sue predilezioni e antipatie critiche, nelle sue note estetiche, nelle sue poesie. [Abstract translated by Google Translate: This is the abstract in English… The essays in this volume are the result of an interest of the author for Galileo that dates back to at least fifteen years and was mostly born in the Galilean Academy of Padua. In these essays, Galileo is observed through his personal relationships especially with personalities from the Paduan intellectual environment, in his predilections and dislikes, in his aesthetic notes, in his poems. Cesare Cremonini, Paolo Beni, Alessandro Tassoni, Albertino Barisoni, Paolo Gualdo, Lorenzo Pignoria and others are the contemporaries with whom Galileo is related. Thus, the literary aspect of his personality was privileged, not without however keeping an eye on his scientific progress. The result is a book that is an attempt to approach some aspects of Galileo as a man and scientist who was also one of the most distinguished writers of the Italian language and literature.]
