Dans cet article, nous nous proposons d’étudier l’évolution des modes de diffusion des techniques divinatoires durant la première partie de l’époque d’Edo (1603-1868). Plus précisément, nous observerons comment, entre la fin du xvie et le début du xviiie siècle, les connaissances mantiques, jusque-là transmises « secrètement » au sein de groupes restreints, en sont venues à être diffusées dans des manuels imprimés destinés à un public plus large.Nous verrons ainsi comment les premiers livres de divination sont apparus au début du xviie siècle en tant que substituts améliorés d’outils jusqu’alors manuscrits. Puis, nous tenterons de mettre en lumière le développement de commentaires, c’est-à-dire de véritables guides destinés à être utilisés conjointement avec lesdits outils. Enfin, nous observerons les transformations subies par les manuels à partir de la fin du xviie siècle, et comment ces changements ont été rendus possibles par l’émergence progressive d’auteurs/compilateurs s’affirmant comme diffuseurs et correcteurs du savoir.En retraçant l’évolution des manuels de divination, il s’agit avant tout pour nous de replacer les art mantiques au sein d’une dynamique plus globale, d’« exotérisation », compilation et ré-ordonnancement critique des savoirs qui caractérise ce que l’on pourrait qualifier d’humanisme japonais., In this paper, I attempt to study how the diffusion of divination techniques evolved during the first part of the Edo period (1603-1868). More specifically, I will focus on the critical changes met by the ways such techniques were transmitted : from a “secret” transmission among selected circles to the production of printed manuals targeted at a broader audience.Thus, we will see how divination books first appeared at the beginning of the 17th century as a replacement or upgrade of already existing tools, which as yet used to circulate in manuscript form. Then, I will try to shed light on the development of commentaries and guides to be used along with the aforementioned tools. Finally, we will observe what kind of transformations manuals went through from the end of the 17th century, and how they relate to the emergence of a new literati class presenting itself claiming to provide a “corrected” knowledge to readers.The aim of this study is to situate mantic arts within a broader process of unveiling, compiling and reordering knowledge, which appears as a characteristic feature of what we may call “Japanese humanism”., 本稿では近世初期において占術知識の流布を検討する。具体的には占いのような専門技術の伝播が 特定の専門家層の間の「秘伝」から、もっと広い読者相を対象にした指南書を媒体にしてªたという過程を考察したい。まずは、十七世紀初頭において従来写本の形でしようされたものに取って代わり、あるいは更新するという形で刊行された占い本の出現を検討し、そして十七世紀半ばから確認でªる「抄もの」的な指南書の生産と内容に注目する。最ýには、元禄期前ýに見られる占い本の質的変化に焦点を当てて、その過程とより正確で便利な知識を読者に提供しようとする中間的な知識人・著者層の誕生との関係を探る。拙稿は今までほとんど研究されてこなかった占い本を通して、近世初期における知識の通俗化・集成・訂正という、いわゆる「日本的なヒューマニズム」の形成に新たな視点から照明を当てようとするものである。
