[Abstract translated by DeepL.com/Translator: This is the abstract in English… Over the years, differential geometry has assumed a remarkable role in the education of mathematicians and physicists, delineating itself at once as a refined mathematical theory and an indispensable tool for the formulation of fundamental phyisical theories. This monograph aims to offer an introduction to the history of the discipline, in the 150-year time span between the publication of a work by Euler on the notion of surface curvature and Levi-Civita's famous memoir on the notion of parallelism. The discussion aims, among others, to account for the heuristic procedures and demonstrative strategies adopted by the various authors analyzed.]
