The essay offers a reflection on the values, terms, and new expressive possibilities of contemporary multimedia artistic research applied in the realization of museum and exhibition projects. Technologies are pervasive, they have occupied spaces and functions, they share with human beings many areas of our “humanitas” and culture. Technologies modify behaviours and move hierarchies of necessity and thought. Understanding and studying the nature of this relationship, proposing “different” solutions, becomes necessary – if not indispensable – even in sectors that would seem less responsive to these changes, such as museum areas.
