[Abstract translated by www.DeepL.com/Translator: This is the abstract in English… The laboratory notebooks of Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier (1743-1794) are valuable sources for those studying the so-called "new chemistry" of the 18th century. Hitherto unpublished, these documents are here reread in the light of one detail: the presence, between pages, of the handwriting of Marie-Anne Paulze-Lavoisier (1758-1836), wife and collaborator of the famous French chemist. It is indeed she, far more than other assistants, who compiled this great "archive of experiment," and then preserved it (without ever ceasing to handle it) in the four decades that followed her husband's death in 1794. A job she herself proudly likened to that of a "secretary." This book stitches these stories together, opening new perspectives between material history of science, social history, and women's and gender history.]
