Healthcare Companies own a little-known portion of the widespread heritage that makes Italy a country with a high historical and artistic concentration. It therefore seems appropriate to probe the assets that make it up in their formative identity to connect them to the events of social health institutions. The scientific support of the Istituto per i Beni Artistici (IBC) to Healthcare Companies was fundamental. The Institute has launched path of research and activities based on the establishment of a working group formalized by the General Directorate of the Health Department. The group was made up of different skills and engaged the Healthcare Companies in actions of knowledge and enhancement of the heritage. The IBC project, which began in the late 1990s, is still a point of reference for programming activities relating to corporate cultural heritage. The artistic heritage staff, located within the Administrative Department, takes care of the care and use of movable goods by promoting their public use as they "contribute to preserving the memory of the national community and its territory and promoting development and culture."
