[Abstract translated by Google Translate: This is the abstract in English… In 1848 Louis Pasteur discovered molecules existing in two forms, called enantiomers, which have almost identical chemical properties but are not superimposable: for this reason they are called chiral, from the Greek χείρ, "hand." Later on, Pasteur discovered something unexpected: in the presence of this right-left asymmetry, nature makes a radical choice, opting without exception for the left form. From that moment on, science and philosophy have questioned the origins of this rupture and the reasons for this preference. Opinions are varied, but they converge on an undeniable fact: there are two different worlds, linked by a specular relationship between identity and otherness, which has profound implications as it can be declined in different ways and take on different meanings of a cultural nature, scientific, philosophical and theological. On these issues many great thinkers confront each other, those we can call the "heroes of the two worlds": Pasteur himself, Vladimir Vernadskij, Pierre Curie, Primo Levi, Tullio Regge, Giovanni Jona-Lasinio. The topic becomes the workhorse of Pavel Florenskij who, as a multifaceted and polyphonic researcher, makes it the leitmotif of his "spider strategy", aimed at weaving a web with radial threads that join, in an extraordinary design originality and actuality, science, philosophy, theology, art and technology.]
