Tradizioni ebraiche sul Golem. Il potere dell'uomo fra magia e scienza (2021)

unapi

This paper intends to retrace some stages of the medieval and early modern tradition relating to the fascinating and mysterious figure of the Golem. This important historical heritage of meaning always appears to be linked to the relationship between the Creator and creatures, between the Name and the creative power of the letters, between the authority of the Masters and the mystical-anthropological declinations of Kabbalah. In this sense, we will try to highlight the still current reflections of this tradition, especially with regard to the structure of Renaissance magic and its relationship with the power and limits of science.
