[Abstract translated by Google Translate: This is the abstract in English… The scholar Giovanni Battista Rasario (1517-1578) had immediate success in the Renaissance as a translator from the Greek of Galen (129-216 AD), a founding figure of the Western medical tradition, and Oribasius (ca. 325-400 AD), personal physician of the emperor Julian. From the early twentieth century, Rasario's translations were examined by some classical philologists, led by Hermann Diels at the head of the Corpus Medicorum Graecorum, and in many cases these translations turned out to be false. Since then, the accusation of forgery has "flattened" the figure of Rasario on an image that does not do justice to the complexity and richness of his work. In a close dialogue with the history of philology, this essay reconstructs the profile of a neglected humanist, inserting him in the panorama of the studies on the tradition of the classics, and in particular of Greek medical texts.]
