Highlighting the history of Japanese radio astronomy. 6: Early solar monitoring at the Radio Research Laboratories of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Hiraiso (2019)

unapi

During the 1950s a small group of scientists and technicians involved in telecommunications research also monitored solar radio emission at 200 MHz from their field station at Hiraiso, near Tokyo. In this short paper, we review the Hiraiso instrumentation observations, and how the latter were used to further out knowledge of metre wave emission form the Sun.
