Several recipes are found in the "Raccolta di ricette scelte, sperimentate e approvate contro vari tipi di malattie" published in 1675, and in "Seguito della Raccolta" published in 1687, by Marie de Maupeou Fouquet, a well-known charitable lady from Paris. These books had a notable influence on the society of the time and were widely read in Europe until the nineteenth century. The work was translated into many languages, and the members of the Faculty of Medicine in Paris endorsed the text as useful for everyone.
