Klimaforschung - Grundlage der Klimapolitik. (Climate research - the basis of climate policy) (2020)

unapi

(Climatology is an interdisciplinary natural science that has become increasingly involved in policy advice in recent decades and thus has a special responsibility to contribute its expertise decisively while remaining true to its own agenda. Thus, contrary to public opinion, it is by no means the case that there is only a need for action and no need for research. It is not only a matter of research to counter the consequences of climate change through knowledge for action, but still a matter of fundamental questions about the climate process. The article traces decisive stages of climate research and summarizes the essential findings.)
