Landscapes of Memory book is a documentation of the Bhopal2011: workshop and symposium which was conducted in Bhopal, India between 23rd January and 4th February 2011. The actionresearch initiative explored the significance of the Union Carbide industrial site - its heritage as the site of the Bhopal gas tragedy, its present condition as an abandoned industrial brown field site and its relevance as a future site for commemoration of the victims of the world’s greatest industrial disaster. rough cases and contributions from authors across the world, Landscapes of Memory addresses issues of heritage, habitat, urbanism, cultural rights and memory that underpin the narrative of the disaster, and its shared legacy in our collective consciousness. rough cases and contributions from authors across the world, Landscapes of Memory addresses issues of heritage, habitat, urbanism, cultural rights and memory that underpin the narrative of the disaster, and its shared legacy in our collective consciousness.Through cases and contributions from authors across the world, Landscapes of Memory addresses issues of heritage, habitat, urbanism, cultural rights and memory that underpin the narrative of the disaster, and its shared legacy in our collective consciousness.
