unapi

This essay attempts to identify and describe the first of them, who - in 1597 - handed over to Galileo two copies of Kepler's first book, the "Mysterium Cosmographicum". From the original correspondence between the two scientists, it resulted that the messenger was in fact Paul Homberger, a composer who studied at the University of Padua.
