In this paper an analysis of the contribution of the anatomical school becomes Joseph School (1913-1998) to embryology during the first two decades of dictatorship Franco. Special emphasis is placed on the process by which, with the support of the rising CSIC, the Spanish group contacted the German morphology was developing Hugo Spatz (1888-1979) at the Max Planck-Institut für Hirnforschung. Through our study the influences that eventually draw the anatomy and embryology are detected School. In Spain, we detected a direct influence of morphology gegenbauriana Gumersindo Sanchez-Guisande (1894-1976) as well as the neuroanatomy of Juan Jose Barcia Goyanes (1901-2003), full of references to the work of Braus. The interna contacts -tions of 'escolarianos "-with the first US science and later with the German- were a homogeneous group work with a unique anatomy (functional and ontofilogénetica) but with such broad interests compelled sub researchers specialize team. Fruit of an intense relationship with the German anatomical community during the 50s they appeared a number of important works from embryological most notably those held School on the development of the amygdala and allocortex, the Fernando Reinoso on the embryology of the diencephalon and the discoveries of Victor Smith Agreda with Rudolf Diepen on the development of the hypothalamic-pituitary system.
