This book explores the persistent difficulty that arises in call circle where mainstream science accepts that in the non-OECD world is autonomous, critical scientific thinking. This analysis is very useful in the context of countries with little scientific tradition, because it allows the younger generation of scientists have a less remote and rarefied vision of the activity and a better understanding of the difficulties ahn given over time, which govern terms of hierarchies so that way they can design new strategies of legitimation. Thus the theme of the book knot is central to social and natural scientists, because it is nothing more nor less than the rules, often unspoken, why they are accepted or not within the ranks of the profession. In this work there is a firm intention to address one of the fundamental tasks that confront the historian of science: how to make sense of the story structure attributing meaning and political sense.
