Análise das visões sobre a natureza da ciência em produções científicas que se reportam a livros didáticos (2014)

The historical-philosophical approach applied to the science of education has gained notorious importance over the years through studies, analyzes, and proposals on their possible contributions to address many of the problems in the science of education. This paper investigates which conceptions about the nature of science are conveyed by articles in the journal Philosophy and History of Biology from 2006-2014, referring to textbooks, considering its role in the students' construction of conceptions about the nature of science. The category analyses defined a priori were constructed from the possible deformations that science education may be transmitting, covertly or explicitly, in respect to understanding the nature of scientific work and, consequently, about the visions of science (Gil-Pérez et al., 2005). During the analysis, there was also the emergence of a new category (a posteriori). The results indicate that all studies reviewed fall into a priori and a posteriori categories and oppose the deformed views of science. Thus this study suggests that the articles developed by a collective of researchers who are engaged in investigating the History and Philosophy of Biology have the potential to work together in order to confront the deformed distorted views of scientific work. Keywords: biology education; nature of science; history and philosophy of science; history and philosophy of biology; textbooks
