Telling the history of psychiatry in the twentieth century through the life of a psychiatric hospital, is the challenge of this book . The proposed approach allows to discover the actors still largely excluded from the historiographical account of psychiatry and revisit its themes . It revisits the timeline, including the apparent failure of the introduction of neuroleptics in the 1950s and examines psychiatry "outside the walls " from 1960 .
