Advanced Balearic Demographic Transition model is documented by a high life expectancy at birth, nearly 42 years in the 1860s - as a result of low infant mortality. In order to delve into the reasons for this privileged health situation has analyzed the influence of the hygienist about mortality decline. This has been examined and pediatric health reform movement of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. This is a set of activities whose responsibility was shared by various stakeholders, from doctors, lawyers and engineers, nuns or other groups which suggests the existence of a social consensus in the reporting of 'avoidable' causes of disease and Death.
