Toxic Oil Syndrome, as denominating ended in care has been considered the causal agent and demanded a response that was conditioned by ignorance of their biological characteristics, but also, and in a relevant way, the complex situation by spanning the nation. Immersed as he was in a deep process of change in the political regime, which was to also be conducted under difficult economic conditions, public authorities were forced to react in a less than perfect and in accordance with the values of the new model of social relations conditions it was set. This paper explores how the Toxic Oil Syndrome energized and helped accelerate health reform since before the outbreak of the epidemic, was regarded as a necessary intervention. The work takes as its main object of attention the way that treatment response was addressed to those affected by the disease, which required addressing in a new framework of social relations to a set of people with severe physical disabilities sequels that produced them. Through this, we try to highlight how much of the actions taken they agreed with the main ideas for reform arose. It also aims to show how these measures anticipated some of which would be applied after the general population.
