Abstract--- This paper is devoted to a graduate of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, eminent scientist, inventor, public figure, Professor Yuriy Valentynovych Lange. The purpose of this publication is to fill the gaps in the history of life and work of Ukraine's outstanding personality, restore the memory of the 1920s well-known scientist, educator, founder of the social movement of inventors in Ukraine, Ukrainian Association of Workers-Inventors and the magazine "For Invention" The article is based on the documents found in the archives of Ukraine. It traces the important stages in scientific and pedagogical activity of the scientist. Presented are examples of his creative collaboration, including that with renowned scientist, physicist and meteorologist Professor M.P. Myshkin. In particular, covered are Yu.V. Lange's innovation activities, provided is a list of his own major inventions and those created in collaboration. Some of the documents referenced are published for the first time.
