The (re) presentation of the invisible represents a classic problem in medicine that has not lost its appeal to this day. From a historical perspective it is one of the central questions of how to penetrate production and display of medical knowledge of each other. Just the urological technology, one of the first medical subject areas that have made the non-intuitive graphic offers in here as an investigative field. According to some theoretical considerations are in this volume display forms of urinary stones, the terms of their visual and distance, and most recently their forms of representation in treated therapeutic context. In this way, the diversity of approaches to image generation and the power of image production in a previously received little attention in this pathological context object, the urinary and its versinnlichten opinion, noted and discussed in inspection.
