Yesterday and today is the science to give a "new," to disrupt order and balances considered absolute. Yesterday, the crucial issue of the Copernican-Galilean, with its problems of biblical interpretation, and today, the issues arising from the rapid advances occurring in the field of life sciences and revive ancient scientific and philosophical discussion of what is meant by " nature "," people "," beginning of life "," end of life ". Questions claiming urgent and belong to the sphere of politics and public law. As noted by Norberto Bobbio, in one of his last speeches on the theme of secularism, "that threatens the truths handed down is not the philosophical reason, but the scientific reason. Process of secularization, the so-called age of disenchantment, and not born the rebellion of Luther, but the discoveries of Galileo. " Those discoveries inexorably crushed a universe hitherto considered neat, compact, giving life to writings that still manage to talk because they concern the troubled relationship between science and religion. The purpose is different: to submit to a rigorous examination of the historical and philological texts who first addressed the issue of religion and science, who first questioned the hierarchical conception of knowledge founded on the Word of God
