Arnaut's sestina is an example of courtly love poetry. The last three-line stanza unequivocally declares the poet's intention to please his noble lady. What interests us here, however, is how the six six-line stanzas, or sextets, use the same six ending words in a permutation given by the cycle (124536). The arrangement of the ending words in each sextet corresponds to a power of this cycle, and so if we were to compose a seventh sextet, we would arrive at one with the original arrangement of the six ending words.
