Splinter, Susan (Author)
The Nuremburg physician Johann Christoph Götz published some cases taken from his own practice. A comparison of the printed cases with notices from his practice journal shows that Götz has reproduced his cases mostly truthfully. Remarkable is the place of publication and his preference for unorthodox singular cases. He brought these cases up for discussion exclusively in periodicals. Götz intended no teaching activity with his approach but expected an appropriate exchange of knowledge.
