unapi

The article features Scottish artist Will Maclean and his visual interpretation of mathematician D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson's desire to explain the natural world. Born in Inverness, Scotland in 1941, MacLean studied art after working as a midshipman. He used to work as a teacher at the University of Dundee. In 2007-08, Thompson's work inspired Maclean to create a series of mixed media box constructions. Information on Maclean's 2008 exhibition "Different Meridiens" is also given.
