This is the story of enterprising men and women who provided the farmers' tools and machines for the farming revolution in Lincolnshire. From the relatively small but tenacious T & J Fletcher of Winterton, still making implements successfully today after more than 150 years; to the large and diverse firm, Blackstone & Co of Stamford; from the very adaptable John H Rundle of New Bolingbroke, now noted for making and repairing fairground rides; to Charles Louis Hett of Brigg, who made his name through the manufacture of pumps and turbines for water supply and drainage; through two pioneering steam engines manufacturers in Boston - this book celebrates the wide-ranging achievements of Lincolnshire's agricultural engineers, iron founders and implement makers.
