On behalf of the Tobias Mayer Society at Marbach Mayer's unfinished moon glo- be has been reconstructed by using prints of the extant copper plates. For some missing gores of the segments new ones had to be reconstructed and amended. The paper describes requirements of the project and the adopted working techniques.
