A not always easy terminology and the difficulty inherent to the abstract reasoning are troubles that compell translators of mathematical texts to specialize in. Maybe this fact can explain why the same few names (Heiberg, Heath, Ver Eecke, Czwalina, Saito, Netz, Mugler ...) appear and re-appear in the bibliographical data bases. Spanish philological tradition was absent of these tasks until twenty years ago: from 1986 on, Euclid's Elements and some of his minor works as well as a part of Archimedes' treatises have been translated into spanish, and other mathematical works are being prepared.
