The Ebro Observatory, an extraordinary institution Summary: The Ebro Observatory was set up in 1904 in Roquetes, in the south of Catalonia, at the Ebro river. The Observatory was linked to the College of the Jesuits, that was then in Tortosa. The extraordinary features of the history of the Observatory explain its continuity, but also a number of difficult circumstances. This communication presents some reflections after the publication of a book celebrating the centenary of the centre.
