The method of subtract befrore multipy summarized by the Bian Gan of lat eTang dynasty is an important one about ancient Chinese calendric calculation. Previoulsy nobody knew where it derived from. In fact, it was spread form the calculating formula fo rthe differenc eof ecliptic longitude and right ascension in monk Yi Xin's Dayan Calendar. Being derived from traditional Chinese algortihm, it was imila rto the simple p roposition of isoperimetric problem that all isperimetric rectangles only the area of a square was maximum.
