Hartveit, Marit (Author)
The Edinburgh Association for the University Education of Women (EAUEW) was an association providing women with higher education in a time when they were denied access to the Scottish universities. The article will give an outline of its history before assessing the performance of its mathematical class. This article is based on a lecture given at the History Splinter Group at the British Mathematical Colloquium in York, March 2008.
