Henri de Bonneval was interested in medicine. He decided to leave France for Kothen in order to learn homeopathy directed from its founder, Hahnemann. Back in France he defended the first French medical thesis devoted to homeopathy. He opened a practice based upon it and gained a solid clientele. In his spare time he devoted himself to agronomy and his wineyards. At the end of his life he wrote a book that includes the presentation and discussions of his homeopathic methods, some philosophical relfections, and personal memories.
