Description “In the first part of the paper I will offer a setting for Rudbeck's discussion of universal history. In the second, I will notice several features of Rudbeck's work and suggest ways that an unpublished book manuscript by Isaac Newton, Theologiae gentilis origines philosophicae, resonates with Rudbeck's research. In the third, I will broaden my focus considerably by describing the setting for Rudbeck's Atlantica found in Sweden's own advancement of learning in the field of iron and cannon manufacture.”
